In October 2015, after 34 years in gainful employment, I once more became a student.

This blog then will chart the new phase of my life, or more specifically the doctoral studies with which I will be engaged. A place to reflect, a research diary, an observational log (oblog?) … it’s my marginal notes. The research proposal which set this study in motion can be found here.

The thoughts which seeded the words herein may have arisen from my reading, but more likely whilst I was running, cycling or cooking. Accordingly they will smell differently.
